Since 2001 I've been taking a screenshot of every website that inspired me: Flash intros, tiny pixel fonts, grunge textures and a lot of vector swirls. This is that archive, rebuilt the way it would have looked in 2005.

Hi, I'm Danilo, an art director based in Italy. I started saving screenshots in 2001, when every portfolio opened with a loading bar and a sound toggle, and I never stopped.
This page is a joke and a love letter at the same time: a 2005 version of the archive, made with the same ingredients those sites used. Fixed-width stage, pixel fonts, an intro you can't skip fast enough.
Want the real thing? The full archive is here: webscreens 2001–today »
And my work lives at marinaccio.it »
